With the rise of YouTube, it has become easier than ever to find talented new artists right from the comfort of your own home.
Everyday we see embedded videos on our Facebook walls, blogs, or websites of new viral acts. Some of these acts end up scoring professional recording contracts, some make money from their YouTube channels, and the most adorable of them get on Ellen.
Prepare to go “awww” as you watch Lennon & Maisy, a 12 and 8 year old sister duo from Tennessee perform Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” in their home.
Andrew Bird released his latest record, Break it Yourself (iTunes), just two months ago.
Since then, he has been touring and performing in clubs, at festivals, and on late-night television programs, wowing all those that have the opportunity to see him do what he does.

I recall the day, 3 years ago, when I stumbled upon Justin Posey, a singer-songwriter out of Tupelo, Mississippi. I was charmed by his style and catchy melodies.
Since that day I’ve had the pleasure of hosting a Justin Posey concert in my hometown and I’ve anticipated each release (and subsequent re-release) he has made.In the past year, Justin has gone out into the world doing work for his church and from this, a new project has sprung.
It’s called Love In Motion and is comprised of only Justin and Luke Teutsch and the duo plans to release their debut EP this year and follow it with some touring and a full length the year following.
To kick things off, LiM has posted their debut acoustic track “Pin Your Hope On Me,” which will appear on the before-mentioned EP. You can listen to it here.
Keane released their latest album, Strangeland, just a few weeks ago. We liked it quite a bit.
One of the best tracks from that record was “Sovereign Light Café” and today, it officially has a music video! It takes place in what we believe to be Strangeland.

John Mayer’s 5th studio album, Born & Raised, was released May 22nd. Just before it was released he sat down with NPR to discuss the development of the record, his throat condition, Bob Dylan, and a variety of other subjects in a span of about 40 minutes.
John is unable to tour at the time being due to granuloma in his throat which has returned after months of treatment. This has given the rockstar time to think things out and mature a bit. His days of Playboy tell-all interviews about his celebrity girlfriends are over with.
If you’ve got 40 minutes to spare or you’re just working on things at your desk, open up the interview here and listen for a spell.
